The Barney Study Group

Barney and Miss Beazley Bush, the president's Scottish terriers, return for another holiday video, featuring the little black dogs scampering around the White House. It's very cute, of course, and takes minds off Iraq, the national debt, and global warming. Dogs do that.

Jon Stewart, Comedy Central's master satirist, isn't lulled by Barney bromides. The clever Stewart uses the Barney video to riff and ruff about the mess in Iraq and other matters on his "Daily Show."
