Spot R.I.P.

Spot is now a cosmic speck. The White House announced that Spot, the elderly springer spaniel of the manor born, suffered a series of strokes and had to be put down. Spot, or Spotty as the Bushes called her, was born in 1989 at the White House. She was the spawn of Millie, famed First Dog of the Bush seniors. In recent years, Spot had to play second fiddle to Barney, the Scottish terrier. Much more circumspect and aloof than the boisterous Barney, Spot remained a model of blue blood Republicanism to the end of her days.
