Meet the New Yorkie

The big -- or little -- story the AKC was pushing at its New York press conference to announce the most popular breeds was the ascendance of the Yorkshire terrier. The Yorkie has emerged as the second most favored must-have breed. Dog Lady agrees that Yorkies are everywhere underfoot, with little bows in their hair and springs in their steps. The Onion, the wag satiric site, imagines the Yorkie as monogrammed fashion accessory.
